At last
that day arrives
what most of us have been waiting for...
Graduation
We entered the hall with great enthusiasm
Receiving certificates
Singing songs of joys...
Approximately 12pm or so,
Auld Lang Syne flooded the interior of the Hall...
Then,
i remembered the good times we had throughout the 5 years of High School...
i remembered the gossips we enjoyed...
i remembered the bickering and sneering we had to endure in times of difficultly...
i remembered the time we comforted each other over a bad report card...
i remembered the time we argued...
i remembered the time we apologized...
It was also then i looked to both my sides.
You are all singing Auld Lang Syne with the great spirit, that we should have,
and whole heartedly...
It struck me that we might not meet again...
Tears soon filled my eyes,
as they started to pour.
i can feel hands on my back,
comforting me,
asking me to be strong…
However,
i could not be the guy that you
used to see,
used to jeer at,
used to shout words of disagreement of decision at,
used to joke with,
used to tease at,
used to be strong…
i am sorry…
As we departed the Hall,
all of You put an arm around me.
Just to comfort me,
and to let me know that i have a shoulder to lie on.
We entered the classroom for the one last time,
i made a short, final official announcement.
The bell rang in the distance…
All of You left in a hurry…
i slowed my pace down the ever familiar corridor,
trying to recall the memories we had in this very classroom,
trying to remember the moment i was hurt by others and all of You stood by me,
trying to take in what I have left behind.
With
a little pat from You
woke me up,
You said we are going
to Midvalley to celebrate
later to Sunway for dinner.
i smiled and followed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My Dearest Classmates,
It was because of You,
that made a day in CHS worth remembering,
It was also You,
that made me who i am today,
no longer the stuck-up one,
no longer the arrogance one,
no longer the fool i used to be.
And
for this i thank You.
